in new york there's many strange liscencing laws. one of them means that there are signs up in some of the grooviet of bars saying "no dancing" this is because they don't have a caberet liscence. this is defined by having no people dancing in the club. hence the sign. sometimes you go into a bar where there's a great/famous dude playing music but you can't dance. which is bad if you are a dork or gay or like music or dancing.
